Another stop during Quiltastic Shopapalooza is Intown Quilters Fabric & Yarn. Intown Quilters Fabric & Yarn was opened by owner Sarah Phillips in 2002 and is still the only quilt shop inside the Perimeter (the interstate circling Atlanta).

Sarah has always focused on bright, fun fabrics and the shop’s wares reflect her love of bold batiks, vivid solids, distinctive African prints and contemporary florals. IQ (as it’s affectionately called by those who love it) is known for it’s eclectic approach to quilting. They’re definitely not afraid to mix lines or fabric types to create eye-catching quilts!

Intown Quilters is a first-time Quiltcon vendor, hitting the road to welcome quilters from all over the world to their home state and introduce them to IQ’s brand of Southern hospitality and fresh, fun quilting. At Quiltcon, they’re hosting a book signing with authors Thomas Knauer and Mary Abreu. They will also have signed copies of Patty Murphy’s Piecing Makeover book.

In addition to quilting cottons, Intown Quilters carries diverse substrates like double gauze, cotton/linen blends, jersey knits, rayons, and chambrays that appeal to apparel sewers. And since August 2016, IQ  has also stocked a vibrant array of yarns for knitters and crocheters.

In addition to vending at select quilt shows in the Southeast and their brick-and-mortar location (open seven days a week), IQ has an active online store, shipping all your favorite fabrics — Kaffe Fassett, Alison Glass, Cotton+Steel, Tula Pink, Jen Kingwell, Carolyn Friedlander and more! — to quilters across the U.S.Their line-up of guest teachers has included Jen Kingwell, Lizzy House, Kaffe Fassett, Cindy Grisdela, and Kate Atherley. In 2017, they’re looking forward to Jen Kingwell’s return, as well as other well-known quilters that they can’t announce yet!

You can also catch them at the Cotton Patch Quilters Show in Watkinsville, Ga March 3-5. And taking part in The Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop Hop, March 22-26.

Also, they will be offering free shipping of items purchased at their booth at Quiltcon when someone spends $100!
